Many of us care about what is in our food and where it comes from. The upcoming Food Swap is a great opportunity for us to exercise sourcing and supporting local food!
Can you imagine having to make everything you eat from scratch with your own sweat equity? NO WAY!
Can you imagine making a batch of one thing and then bartering for other homemade goods? YES!
Date: July 27, 2013
Time: 12:00 – 2:00 PM
Location: 1407 N. El Camino Real, San Clemente, CA 92672
Host: T. Patterson Surf Shop

The idea is to batch a good or forage if you have a garden and bring to the swap to barter with fellow community members! Imagine bartering some homemade pizza dough from a neighbour for some homemade donut peach-early grey preserves. The more the merrier since the possibilities are endless.
Here are a few homemade ideas (but certainly not limited to):
– produce grown or foraged
– jams
– wild caught fish (someone brought salmon last time)
– salad dressing
– mac & cheese sauce
– pizza dough
– granola
– nut butter
– bread
– cheese
– pasta sauce
– pickled [mushrooms, cucumbers, garlic…]
